Modeling a curved and hollowed shape

Modeling a curved and hollowed surface is one of the most complex tasks in 3D — every extrusion, every hole in the hull risks generating shading imperfections and deforming the mesh.

I adopted a surface subdivision method for a smooth render, combined with several Blender modifiers, the most decisive being Shrinkwrap, which maintains clean shadow calculations even on complex geometries. Partial retopology was also necessary to avoid rendering artifacts.

Two versions of the model were delivered — a High poly for visual quality, a Low poly optimized for real-time integration — leaving COMMLAB the choice according to their needs.

Once the modeling was finalized (approximately one month), UV unwrapping and texturing were completed in one week. I deepened my mastery of Baking, particularly for ambient occlusion, to enrich the textures with detail.
